Study Beats Terms of Use

Quick summary: you own the recordings you create with Study Beats. We (Gobias Ltd) own the app, the backing tracks, and other assets. You get a personal license to create and share your own performances. Others can make their own versions with the same backing tracks.

Using the App

  • You must use the app in compliance with applicable laws and App Store rules.
  • Don’t reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the app or its bundled content.

Content & Ownership

  • Your recordings: You own the recordings you create using the app (your performances and mixes).
  • App assets: Gobias Ltd owns the app, the brand, UI, code, and the provided backing tracks and stems.
  • License to create: We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to record, mix, and share your performances made with the in-app tracks, subject to these Terms. This license doesn’t give you ownership of the underlying tracks.
  • Attribution: If you share publicly, we appreciate a tag (e.g., #studybeats) but it’s not mandatory.

Free Access & Pro

  • Free access: includes one Mixed Starter Pack, with all Pro effects available when using its tracks, and free Vocal Coach lessons.
  • Pro access: unlocks the wider track library and additional Vocal Coach programmes. The current Pro offering includes 20 new tracks each month.
  • No free trial: Study Beats does not currently offer a free trial or introductory Pro taster. If that changes, any trial terms will be shown clearly on the App Store purchase screen before you subscribe.

Subscriptions

  • Paid Pro access requires an active subscription purchased through Apple’s in-app purchase system. The available duration and price are shown on the App Store purchase screen before confirmation.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period.
  • Apple charges renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings. Deleting Study Beats does not cancel a subscription.
  • Billing, renewals, cancellations and refund requests are handled by Apple. Study Beats includes a Restore Purchases option for eligible App Store purchases.

Acceptable Use

  • Don’t upload or share unlawful, infringing, or harmful content when using Study Beats.
  • We may remove access to content that violates these Terms.

Disclaimers

The app is provided “as is” without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gobias Ltd isn’t liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
