16 Associations Terms

Last updated: 21 August 2026

These Terms apply to the 16 Associations mobile application (“the App”), provided by Gobias Ltd (“Gobias”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

What the App provides

16 Associations is provided as a general reflection and wellbeing tool. It guides you through a word-association exercise and lets you save completed sessions in a private, on-device journal. We may improve, change or discontinue features where reasonably necessary.

Wellbeing and professional advice

The App is not medical, psychological or other professional advice. It does not provide diagnosis, therapy, treatment or emergency assistance and is not a substitute for qualified professional care. You remain responsible for decisions you make using your reflections. In an emergency, contact local emergency services or an appropriate crisis service.

Your content

You retain responsibility for the questions, words, associations, connections and journal content you enter. You must have the right to enter that content and must not use the App to create unlawful, abusive or rights-infringing material. Your content is stored locally as described in the 16 Associations Privacy Policy.

Intellectual property and acceptable use

The App, its design, branding, software, written materials and supplied content belong to Gobias Ltd or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms and applicable app-store rules.

You must not:

  • copy, distribute, sell, rent or commercially exploit the App or its supplied content except where permitted by law;
  • reverse engineer, bypass security or attempt unauthorised access, except where applicable law expressly permits it;
  • interfere with the App or another person’s use of it;
  • use the App unlawfully or to infringe another person’s rights; or
  • misrepresent the App or your relationship with Gobias Ltd.

Availability and third-party speech services

The App is supplied without a guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free availability. Updates or a supported operating-system version may be required. Dictation depends on platform speech-recognition services outside Gobias Ltd’s control, and its availability may vary by device, language, provider, settings and internet connection.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes legal obligations or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to those rights, the App is provided on an “as available” basis and Gobias Ltd does not promise any particular personal, emotional or health outcome.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gobias Ltd is not responsible for:

  • indirect or unforeseeable loss;
  • loss arising from misuse of the App or reliance on reflections as professional advice;
  • loss of locally stored content caused by App deletion, device loss or failure, or operating-system behaviour;
  • failure or unavailability of third-party speech-recognition services; or
  • business loss, because the App is supplied for personal, non-commercial use.

Nothing excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or mandatory consumer rights.

Ending use

You may stop using and uninstall the App at any time. Gobias Ltd may suspend or end your right to use it following a material breach or if the App is lawfully discontinued. Provisions concerning intellectual property, disclaimers and liability continue where appropriate.

Law, changes and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Consumers retain mandatory protections and any right to bring proceedings available under the laws where they live. We may update these Terms for legal, security, operational or feature changes. Updated Terms will show a revised “Last updated” date.
