Awaken Me Terms of Service

These Terms apply to the Awaken Me mobile application (“the App”), provided by GoBias Ltd (“GoBias”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Who can use Awaken Me

You must be legally able to agree to these Terms. Anyone under 18 should use the App only with a parent or legal guardian’s involvement and permission. The App is not directed to children under 13.

What the App provides

Awaken Me provides guided audio, personal reflection prompts, locally stored journal responses, progress tracking and optional local reminders. An internet connection is normally required to retrieve current information and stream audio. The App does not currently provide cloud sync or genuine offline downloads.

GoBias may improve, change or discontinue features where reasonably necessary.

Wellbeing and safety

Awaken Me is for general education, personal reflection and wellbeing. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, psychotherapy, counselling or crisis support. It is not a substitute for qualified professional care.

Do not delay professional advice because of anything in the App. Stop an exercise if it causes significant distress and seek appropriate support. Anyone who may harm themselves or another person, or who is experiencing an emergency, should stop using the App and contact local emergency services or an appropriate crisis service.

Your licence and acceptable use

GoBias grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the App and its content for personal, non-commercial purposes on devices you own or control, in accordance with Apple’s usage rules.

You must not:

copy, distribute, sell, rent or publicly perform App content except where permitted by law;
reverse engineer, bypass security, scrape content or attempt unauthorised access;
interfere with the App or use it unlawfully;
infringe another person’s rights; or
misrepresent the App or GoBias.

Your reflections and our content

You retain your rights in the words you enter as reflections. Reflections, progress and preferences are currently stored on your device and do not sync between devices. You are responsible for protecting your device. Deleting the App or losing the device may permanently remove locally stored information.

The App, audio, written exercises, design, trademarks, software and supplied content belong to GoBias or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. No rights are granted other than the licence above. See the Awaken Me Privacy Policy for information about data handling.

Availability and charges

Streaming and other features depend on internet connectivity, your device, Apple and AWS services, maintenance and events outside GoBias’s reasonable control. We do not promise the App will always be available or error-free. Updates or a supported operating-system version may be required.

The current App does not advertise subscriptions or in-app purchases, but your network provider may charge for streaming data. If paid features are introduced, their price and terms will be shown before purchase and Apple’s purchase terms will apply.

GoBias may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, the service or legal rights, or to comply with law.

Disclaimers and liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes legal obligations or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to those rights, the App and its content are provided on an “as available” basis. GoBias does not promise any particular personal, emotional, spiritual or health outcome.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GoBias is not responsible for:

indirect or unforeseeable losses;
losses arising from misuse of the App;
loss of locally stored reflections caused by App deletion or device failure;
failures outside GoBias’s reasonable control; or
business losses, because the App is supplied for personal, non-commercial use.

Nothing excludes liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or mandatory consumer rights.

Ending use and Apple’s role

You may stop using and delete the App at any time. GoBias may suspend or end your right to use it following a material breach or if the service is lawfully discontinued. Terms concerning intellectual property, disclaimers and liability continue where appropriate.

These Terms are between you and GoBias, not Apple.
Apple is not responsible for the App or its content and has no obligation to provide support.
Apple and its subsidiaries may be third-party beneficiaries where required by Apple’s terms.
Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies unless GoBias provides a valid custom licence through App Store Connect.

Law, changes and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Consumers retain mandatory protections and any right to bring proceedings available under the laws where they live.

We may update these Terms for legal, security, operational or feature changes. Updated Terms will show a revised “Last updated” date and any additional notice required by law. If you do not accept an update, stop using the App.
